ACF Honored as Outstanding Organization in Charity Transparency

On September 22, China Charity and Donation Information Center (CCDIC) released the 2013 China Charity Transparency Report at the second China Charity Project Exchange Exhibition in Shenzhen. Amway Charity Foundation (ACF) won the award of “2013 Outstanding Organization in Charity Transparency” with a score of 96.36. Xu Jianzhong, Deputy Director of the Social Welfare and Charity Promotion Department of the Ministry of Civil Affairs presented the award to winners. 

 


ACF honored as an outstanding organization in charity transparency by China Charity and Donation Information Center 

 

The 2013 China Charity Transparency Report was commissioned by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. CCDIC monitored 1,000 non-profit charity organizations nationwide to assess the completeness, timeliness and accessibility of the information they disclosed. 

 

The report shows that in 2013, the average transparency index was 43.11 (out of 100). Charity organizations with transparency index below 60 was classified as organizations under watch, those with index between 60 and 80 progressing organizations, those between 80 and 90 excellent organizations, and those above 90 outstanding organizations. 

 

ACF won the honor of outstanding organization with a score of 96.36. Other organizations winning the honor are all first-rate foundations, such as Narada Foundation, Tencent Foundation, Vantone Foundation and Lao Niu Foundation. 

 

Since its inception, ACF has always been open and transparent. It makes sure that every donation can be tracked on the foundation’s website, and project progress reports can be timely released.
