At 8:02 am on April 20, 2013, an earthquake which measures 7 on the Richter's scale hit Ya'an, Sichuan Province, China.

    We are deeply concerned about the people in the earthquake area. Amway China has made its initial donation of RMB 5 million (about USD 0.8 million) through Amway Charity Foundation to set up "Amway Ya'an Earthquake Relief Fund". The Fund, jointly administered by ACF and China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, will be used for the disaster relief efforts in Ya'an, and rebuilding destroyed school houses and providing psychological therapy for children after the earthquake.

    ACF has also opened an account to receive donations from distributors and employees, which will go to "Amway Ya'an Earthquake Relief Fund". Amway volunteers in Sichuan Province have already been engaged in the disaster relief efforts.
