In 2015, Amway Charity Foundation (ACF) partnered with institutions including China Development Research Foundation to co-sponsor the “Power of 5 - Preschool Children’s Nutrition Improvement Project” to help three- to five-year-old children living in poor areas of China gain access to the necessary nutritional support via systematically-established nutritional improvement solutions with the aim to fuel the healthy growth of children. From 2016 to the end of 2019, the "Power of 5" project has been implemented in 806 village kindergartens in 23 counties of 11 provinces, including Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hunan, Hebei, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Yunnan and Guangxi, bringing continuous nutrition improvement support to 50,589 pre-school children. The project has benefited more than 80,000 children, distributed more than 30 million Little Bits chewable nutrition tablets, and carried out 12,000 class hours of nutrition education courses.
Provide free nutritional supplements, train preschool teachers, distribute educational materials and carry out nutrition and health education activities to comprehensively improve the nutritional level of children in poverty-stricken areas.

Jointly launched by ACF and the China Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee, the Spring Sprout Nutrition Project is a charity program dedicated to addressing nutritional shortage of Chinese children living in poverty. By constructing “Nutrition Kitchens”, training kitchen managers and circulating nutrition handbooks at rural schools in poverty-stricken areas, the project aims to improve child nutrition and raise awareness. By the end of December 2019, the Spring Sprout Nutrition Project had built 3,856 Spring Sprout kitchens in 305 counties of 23 provinces and trained 3,798 kitchen managers, benefitting 1.94 million children in total. The project was participated by 2,933 volunteer supervisors, who devoted 6,422 hours of volunteer service. A total of 149 million yuan was raised for the project and 229 million yuan spent.
Improve nutritional standards for children and raise nutrition awareness through donation of kitchen appliances, training kitchen managers, developing and providing nutrition manuals and nutrition posters, and offering nutritional meals to children living in poverty in central and western China.

“China Philanthropy Talents Development Project” is the first government-directed NGO philanthropy talent training project in China, and also the first specialized philanthropy talent training project to be directed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, co-sponsored by the China Charity Information Center and the Amway Charity Foundation, and jointly participated in by many other charitable institutions and organizations with whom we aim to improve the scarcity of charity talents. In 2016, the Project launched a cross-strait field study and organized outstanding students from previous programs to visit Hong Kong and Taiwan for exchange and study. 35 of them visited 9 charity organizations in Hong Kong, participated in 8 charity forums, 2 charity trainings and 1 experience activity. 64 participants visited 20 public welfare organizations, participated in 2 charity trainings and 4 experience activities in Taiwan.
“China Philanthropy Talents Development Project" is directed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and co-sponsored by the China Charity Information Center and the Amway Charity Foundation. The term of the project is three years and ACF will invest 10 million yuan to match the supply and demand of charity talents, support the personal growth of charity leaders and explore for a new model of training philanthropy talents with hands-on training, expert guidance, institutional support, overseas site visits, professional forums and industrial research.

The "Child Care Project" is a charity project initiated by ACF to help children in special difficulties with provide professional support. In 2016, by supporting Fengtai District Charity House, ACF helped three elder and disabled orphans with professional special education, laying a foundation for their ultimate realization of self-reliance and self-improvement. ACF supported the Yirui Special Fund of China Child and Teenagers’ Fund and provided 10 children with cerebral palsy access to professional rehabilitation treatment.

“Nutrilite Charity Institute for Child Nutrition” is the first professional research funding platform for children's nutrition issues in China jointly established by ACF and Chinese Society of Nutrition. The Institute selects innovative and forward-looking charity projects and research topics pm children's nutrition to support and promote the development of children's charity industry in China. In 2016, the Institute selected and supported its first research project “Child Nutrition Map of China”. The project collects and consolidate information through literature research and other methods to provide the latest and most authoritative data on child nutrition in the form of an interactive information map, promoting relevant academic research and guiding the implementation of public welfare projects.
In 2016, the Nutrilite Charity Institute for Child Nutrition selected and supported its first research project “Child Nutrition Map of China”. The project collects and consolidate information through literature research and other methods to provide up-to-date authoritative data on child nutrition in the form of an interactive information map, promoting relevant academic research and guiding the implementation of public welfare projects.
